Celebrating + Greyhounds = CELEGREYTION

For many in the greyhound community, Celegreytion is the event they look forward to all year. Held on the Saturday following Labour Day in September, just outside of Edmonton, greyhounds and their owners travel from near and far to attend.

With a day packed full of activities, Celegreytion has something for everyone. Raffles and 50/50 draws for those that like to test their luck. Vendors offering greyhound gear for those who need or love to shop. Games for the kids and games for the hounds. There is also a bell ceremony, a time to remember those greyhounds and other companions that have journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge. The day even includes a live auction.

The highlight of the day for many in attendance is the Radar Run – a chance for your retired racer to show just how retired he is – speed is measured precisely with a radar gun. Prizes are awarded for the fastest, most entertaining and most retired runner.
