Hi! I’m Freya.
I’m a 3 yr old greyhound mix. My DNA says I’m greyhound/borzoi/whippet but everyone who meets me says I’m probably greyhound/wolfhound – no matter how you look at it, I’m every bit a sighthound.
I’m a happy and affectionate and love everyone I meet. I am an exuberant greeter so I’m working on my greeting manners. I’m sure I’d love kids but I’m too active and excitable for the little ones. I walk well on leash but can get excited when I see other dogs, cats and rodents so I’m also working on my leash manners. No kitties or miniatures for me.
I’m kennel trained although I’d really like to just lay at your feet or be by your side. I play well with my canine housemates. Fetching my tennis ball is my favorite outside game. Oh yeah, I’m really tall and my head rests nicely on the kitchen counter so you guessed it, I’m working on my counter surfing manners too. I have a whole library of commands, sit, stay, down being only a few and I’m really good at them. I can clear a 5 ft fence so high privacy fencing and supervision when I’m outside is a must. I like structure, routine and leadership. My trainer says I’d do really well with a job to do or interactive activities to help me burn off my energy. I’m ready for my forever home!
