I first fell in love with greyhounds on Boxing Day 2009. We had lost our dog in October and although we knew we wanted another, we were not sure what kind. An afternoon visit with my cousin’s greyhound and lurcher, and I knew the answer.
Three  weeks later we drove to Calgary and brought home Spar, our first greyhound.
From there, I became involved in anything greyhound; meet and greets, fun runs, fund raisers, and fostering. Not only for the dogs but for the people I met. They were so welcoming that I never felt like a stranger.
I presently share my home with Garvey, a 2 1/2 year old lurcher, who is blind and Lambo a 3 1/2 year old retired racer.
