Judy Sleith

I was raised with dogs and always had a dog in my life ranging from St Bernards to Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I was involved in the show world of confirmation and obedience training with my corgis from 1984 – 2000.

In 2001 a very close friend of mine from the corgi world adopted a greyhound and both my husband Jim and I were smitten. We started going to meet and greets and three months later, voila, we adopted our Christmas present, our first boy Sterling. Not many months later we adopted my Mother’s Day present, a gal named Fire – both awesome greyhound ambassadogs! Over the next few years we worked our way up to five, with three brood moms -Beth, Ahdee and Calypso – joining our family! We are currently owned by three greyhounds Nina (10), Blast (9) and our wild child Jenna (5).

For the past 13 years I have been involved with greyhounds in many different capacities – first as an adopter, foster home and adoption rep for GPI, then an executive member, adoption rep, foster Mom and Meet/Greet Coordinator (Calgary) for Chinook Winds Greyhounds. I am just as passionate about the greyhounds now as I was many years ago. I look forward to working with Northern Sky Greyhounds and assisting many more hounds into their forever homes.
